Anne-Marie Desbiens
Anne-Marie Desbiens obtained her bachelor’s degree in education and in musical interpretation (piano) in 1980 at the Vincent-d’Indy music school. Passionate about teaching, she worked for twenty-five years at École de Musique Vincent-d’Indy and in the music program at École secondaire Pierre-Laporte where she was program director from 2000 to 2009. She judged many music contests in the greater Montreal area and Vincent-d’Indy examinations.
Since September 2009, she is the general manager of the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Montréal.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Board members are elected for renewable terms each year. Members of the Orchestra, and any non-members wishing to contribute more of their time and expertise, may apply to join the Board of Directors before the Annual General Meeting. The general manager is nominated by the elected members of the Board of Directors.
